Friends of PAA

The North Coast Performing Arts Association Inc. (NCPAA) is a not-for-profit incorporated organisation comprising people united by a love of performing choral and orchestral music from the classical repertoire. The NCPAA has been incorporated since 2002, and our aim in particular is to produce 2 – 3 concerts per year not normally available away from major cities.

We encourage participation of all ages, from youth to the retired. Although some of our members are or have been professional musicians, the majority are keen and talented amateurs.

Our objective is to meet a need in the community to provide the opportunity for a wide spectrum of ages to join together to perform and present it to local audiences. The NCPAA also encourages younger musicians who are studying an instrument and/or who love to sing.

Expert tuition is available through our professional conductors who provide tuition and run rehearsals and workshops (usually on Saturdays, fortnightly).

Performances are costly to mount, and although we always try to keep our ticket prices to a reasonable level, it is often difficult to walk the line between financially sinking and swimming.

Major and essential costs include the hire of music scores, royalty payments for performance of works under copyright, hire of rehearsal and performance venues, printing copyright-free music and public domain music, lighting, staging, public liability insurance, publicity and payment of conductors, rehearsal pianists and occasionally professional soloists when required.

How you can help us?
Donations of financial support are therefore sought to help fund major performances so that we can bring beautiful choral and orchestral music for local audiences to enjoy.

All donations to NCPAA are tax deductible.
NCPAA is registered as a Tax Deductable Gift Recipient under the Register of Cultural Organisations. Your donation not only helps the NCPAA achieve its vision; it also qualifies as a valuable tax deduction! Your name will acknowledged as a Friend in the programme for each concert.

Remember that your donation, no matter how small, can help bring you the finest in classical music. As a Friend of the NCPAA, we will also keep you informed in advance of forthcoming concerts, and would welcome your attendance at open rehearsals to see how our productions come together.

Corporate sponsorship
Corporate sponsors of $100 or more will have their logo printed on our programmes and in our advertising for the year of the donation. A sponsor may prefer to provide services we need at no or minimal cost, or by donating cash to our tax-deductible fund. Services can also be recognised as a Tax Deductable gift.
